Customer Reviews
The Good: You can get some GREAT shots with this tripod. Built like a rock, LOVE the professional easy leveling system. The legs are solid, easy to adjust. The head itself is built like a tank. The plate slides on and off with a safety catch for good measure. I like how the arm can be mounted on either the right or left side of the head (I've used this feature depending on the rig, or shooting environment). The spring movement for the vertical axis is great too.
The Bad: So, there's an adjustment for vertical drag on the tripod head, but no adjustment for the horizontal drag. My $30 Velbon head has an adjustment for both. You can lock the horizontal movement, but I usually need to keep my hand on the legs to keep the whole thing from moving even when my 7d, follow focus ; rails are on top. It only goes up to about 5'5'' and that's it. I've used tables when shooting in a restaurant to get extra height.
Ok, so over all decent unit for the price. It has some great features, and some annoyances.
good product, this tripod is made to last. legs are adjustable but their in no other hight adjustment only with the legs. fluid head moves real smooth and is a great fluid head.
